Painting

This is my painting and me working on my painting. I tried to paint the beach, and i also added some fish, and octopus and some other items that might be on a beach. I made the sky look like it was much lighter than the ocean. I also tried to make it seem like it was a sunny day. If i was there i would taste the salt of the ocean in the air. I would hear the waves crashing and i would smell the salt along with the salt of the sand.

Flower Ilustrator project

This is my flower picture that we did on the computer and followed Mr. Sands tutorial.

Fishayyyyy

This is a pitcture of my clay fish. I tried to make one on these on the ipad but it didnt work very well. I also had some fins on the top and on the side of my fish but as my fish started to dry, these fins cracked off. I think i was still sucessful in my project because my fishay is cute but if i were to do it again, i would have wet it more so that the fins would not break off.

Zentangles

These are some pictures of our zentangles. First we drew some practice zentangles on the sidewalk and then we started painting in the courtyard. I think that our zentangles were really good because we made them different colors and all the designs taht we painted on the wall looked really good. If we were gonna do this again, i would want to do it somewhere where other things werent on the wall that we were painting on. It was fun.

Midterm Post

The one to the right is my scale drawing of channing tatums face. I think that this was my most successful because i actually did shading on this picture. And i think that his face actually looks like a face and im not very good at drawing.

The one to the left is my spraypaint portrait. I did teribble but i learned how not how to do this. I should have not run my paints all over the place and i should have waited for them to dry. And i also learned that i should have lined my stencils up a lot better because this does not look like my face at all but if i did it again then it would have been a lot better.

Printing Project

This is my printing project. For this project we had to fnid a picture of an animal and then glue the picture in our sketchbook and then copy the picture as best as we could. After we drew the picture then we got to carve it on to a linocut. We carved the texture and everything of our picture. Then we picked whatever color paint we wanted and rolled it on to the linocut. Then after that we put that on to a piece of paper and made pretty much a stamp out of it. I think that this project was succesful because i think that my stamp came out to look sort of like a bunny and i had fun cutting into that thing. It was good.

Spraypaint Portrait

This is my spraypaint portrait. We had to cut outlines of our faces and then spray paint them onto carboard background thatt was surrounded with cut pieces of wood that we nailed together. Mine would have been good but the colors kind of ran. Other then that it was ok. I think that this project went well but i would have been a lot happier with it if the colors didnt run. If i had to do this proejct again i would focus more on the outlines and i would have cut them better. Also i would have waited for one color of spraypaint to dry before i tried to put another coat on there.

Self Portrait

Welllll this was suppsed to be my self portrait but i lost mine so i had to post this picture instead. It was suppsed to be a shaded picture of our face.

Upcoming project

This is our outline for an upcoming project, we did it in photoshop and i used 4 colors for mine.

Junk pile shadow

This is our junk pile shadow. We put a bunch of trash together and made a picture out of it. We tried to make it seem like there was a bridge thing and a UFO above it. We used thing such as cups and sticks and other trash. I think that this was sucessful becasue to me it really does look like a flying saucer or a UFO and thats what we were aiming for.

Value Scale Drawing

This is my value scale drawing. We could pick any picture that we wanted and we had to draw it as best as we could. The thing we focused on the most though was the shading of the picture. On the tracing paper we drew shapes that we saw, and then when we put it onto the real paper, we had to shade the shapes. My picture was of Channing Tatum's face. I think that i did pretty well on this piece. The thing that i could have done better is the proportions of his face. It does not really look like the arm is next to the face, it just looks random. Other then that it was good and i wouldn't change anything.

Mac Miller Phototshop

This is my photo of Mac Miiller that i edited and made it so that it only had black, gray and a little bit of white in the picture; instead of all the other colors.

This is my flying dinosaur that i created a shadow for on photoshop.

Photoshop Rhino

This is the photoshop Rhino that we had to do. I removed my rhino from grass and put it into space.

My skeleton before and after

These are my sketches of chick (the skeleton). Our assignent was to draw chick by looking at her and drawing each bone and part of her body that we could see. I think that my first drawing was very unporportional. My second drawing of chick, im my opinion, go much better. The proportions were there and each bone was shown. I still don't feel that i was a successful as i could have been because my head on my second one is a little too big and there are too many ribs. But it is definetly better then my one before. What worked in the second one that didnt work in the first is the ribs, the individual bones in the legs, neck and the jaw bone was better. If i was gonna do this prject again, i would have took more time on my first drawing becasue i just thought we were drawing it for fun and i didnt really do well at all. The hardest part about this project was trying to draw each and every bone, but in my second one i took my time and drew them out more. From this piece, i learned to work on perspective and proportions from where i was sitting i had to draw certain things differently.

Newimal Bones

This is my newimal. It was originally a pig seal but i had to draw the skeleton

inside of my pig seal. I know its pretty bad.
